Getting started

Who can use Corpsorp?+
Corpsorp is a corporate-gated classifieds marketplace. You can browse every listing as a guest without an account. To sell, buy, offer, chat or call, you must register with a work email from an approved corporate domain and verify it with an email OTP. Everyone else can browse everything for free.
How do I register?+
Click Sign up in the top-right, enter your name, work email, password and (optionally) a note to our team. You must tick the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy checkboxes to continue. Then check your inbox for a 6-digit OTP, enter it, and your account is active.
My company email domain is not approved. Can I still join?+
Yes. Registration shows a “Request access” option — write a short note and our admin team reviews it. If approved, your domain is added and you can complete registration.
What if I use a personal email (Gmail, etc.)?+
Only emails from approved corporate domains are accepted for selling and buying. You can still browse everything as a guest without an account.
Why do I have to accept the Terms, Privacy and Cookie policies?+
It is required by law for the personal data we collect (account, listings, offers, chat, location). We record your consent on every new registration and it is visible in our audit trail. See /terms, /privacy-policy and /cookies for full details.
Is my data safe?+
Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, sessions are cookie-secured, media is compressed and validated, and every important action is logged. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

Browsing & searching

Do I need an account to browse?+
No. Home, category pages, search, listing detail pages, photos, videos and ads are all public. Guests get a location prompt so feeds can be sorted by proximity.
How does the location work?+
On your first visit you are asked to either detect your location (browser GPS, falling back to your network location) or choose manually (country → state → city → street/area, with a postal/PIN/ZIP field). In India, entering your 6-digit PIN code auto-fills state, city and area for you. You can change it anytime from the location badge in the header.
How do I search?+
Use the search bar in the header — it suggests categories and matching listings as you type, and “Search all” takes you to the full results page. On /browse you can filter by category, keyword, price range, condition, location and sort order, plus the quick filter chips: Moving Out Sale, Free, Negotiable (public) and My Ads, Favorites, From my company (logged-in only).
What do the badges on listings mean?+
🚚 Moving Out — the seller is clearing stock/home soon. 🎁 Free — a giveaway, pickup required, price ₹0. Bidding — buyers bid within a start/end window. Sold — no longer available. Negotiable — the seller is open to offers below the listed price.
How are listings ordered?+
By default you see the newest active listings. You can sort by price (low→high / high→low), distance from your selected area, or relevance for keyword searches.

Selling an item

What do I need to publish a listing?+
A verified corporate-email account, a full address (country → state → city → street/area), and at least 4 photos (each ≤1 MB, jpg/png/webp/heic). A short video and a “functional video” are optional but recommended.
How do I create a listing?+
Click + Sell (desktop header or mobile bottom bar). Fill in title, category, condition and description, then choose your price & sale details (see the next questions), add your address, and upload photos. Click Save as draft, then Publish listing. Your listing goes live immediately (admins can block it later if needed).
What are the listing types (Fixed vs Bidding)?+
Fixed Price — you set a price and buyers offer at it (or negotiate if you allow it). Bidding — you set a starting bid price plus a start and end date/time; buyers place bids only while that window is open. A bid window is required for bidding listings.
How does negotiation work?+
Choose Fixed Price, Slightly Negotiable or Negotiable. Negotiable listings show a badge and buyers are encouraged to offer a lower amount. Fixed listings still receive offers, but you are expected to sell at the listed price.
What are Moving Out Sale and Free Giveaway?+
Moving Out Sale — marks the item as part of a move, so buyers in the area see the 🚚 chip. Free Giveaway — the item is free: price is locked to ₹0, negotiation and bidding are disabled, and a pickup address is required so buyers know where to collect it.
What is the pickup address?+
An optional (required for giveaways) note like “Tower B, Floor 2” telling the buyer where to collect the item. It is shown to buyers after an offer so your exact spot stays semi-private.
Can I edit or remove a listing?+
Yes — go to My Ads on your dashboard. You can edit details, add/remove photos, or delete the listing.
When does a listing become “Sold”?+
When you accept a buyer’s offer (or the buyer accepts your counter-offer), the listing is automatically marked Sold and archived. Sold listings show a Sold badge and no longer accept offers.

Buying an item

How do I buy something?+
Browse or search, open the listing you like, then click Make Offer (or Chat/Call to talk to the seller first). Enter your offer amount and the seller accepts, rejects, or counters. Once an offer is accepted, the item is yours — the listing is marked Sold and you can arrange pickup.
Can I offer less than the listed price?+
Yes — that is exactly what offers are for, especially on Negotiable listings. On fixed-price listings your offer is still sent, but expect it to be declined if it is too far below the price.
How do counters work?+
If the seller doesn’t like your offer they can send a counter-offer with a different amount. You then accept, reject, or counter back. The current “turn” is always shown — the ball is in whoever’s court. You can also respond to counters from your dashboard’s My offers.
What happens when my offer is accepted?+
The listing is automatically marked Sold, your offer is the winning one, and the seller’s other pending offers are withdrawn. Coordinate pickup with the seller via chat (the pickup address is revealed once you have an offer on the item).
Can I save items for later?+
Yes — click the heart / Save button on a listing. Your favorites live in the Favorites filter on /browse and on your dashboard.
How do I know an item is genuinely free?+
Free giveaways always show the 🎁 Free badge and a ₹0 price with a required pickup address. Beware of anyone asking for money outside the platform — see Safety & support.

Bidding

How does bidding work?+
A seller lists an item as Bidding with a starting bid price and a start/end date-time window. During that window, buyers place bids (offers). The listing shows the window and the current offer count. When the window closes, no new bids are accepted. The seller reviews the bids and can accept one, which marks the item Sold.
Can I bid before or after the window?+
No. The system rejects bids before the window opens and after it closes (you’ll get a clear message). Check the start/end date-time on the listing before bidding.
Can the seller accept any bid?+
Yes — the seller chooses which bid to accept. Accepted bids auto-sell the listing. A bid listing is not sold until the seller accepts a bid.
Do bids auto-accept at the end of the window?+
No. The window only stops new bids. The seller must manually accept a bid afterwards; until then the item stays listed.
What’s the difference between Bidding and Negotiable?+
Bidding is a time-boxed auction with a start/end window. Negotiable is a price flag on a normal listing meaning the seller is open to offers.

Chat & calls

How do I contact a seller?+
On the listing page use Chat to open a conversation (tied to that listing) or Call for an audio/video call. Both require a verified account.
How does calling work?+
Calls are browser-to-browser WebRTC (audio or video). The other party gets a call notification; once they join, the media streams directly between you. Missed calls leave an in-app notification so you can call back.
Are my messages private?+
Yes — conversations are between you and the other party. Our support/admin team can only access them when investigating a reported issue.
What if someone stops replying?+
There’s no deadline — both sides reply at their own pace. If you’re being ignored or harassed, report the listing/user (see Safety & support).

Safety, reports & support

How do I report a listing or a user?+
Open the listing and click Report, choose a reason, and submit. It creates a support ticket automatically so our team can review. Similarly, our support team can investigate any user.
What should I do if I think something is a scam?+
Never pay outside the platform, never share OTPs or passwords, meet in public/corporate areas for pickup, and inspect the item before paying. Report any suspicious listing right away.
How do I contact support?+
From your dashboard open My Tickets and raise a ticket describing the issue. The support team assigns, replies, and resolves tickets, and you can track status. Admins can also impersonate your session (logged) to reproduce bugs.
Can the admin see everything I do?+
Every important action (registration, consent, listing, offer, chat open, call, report, admin actions) is recorded in our audit trail so support can help you. All impersonation is logged and only performed to diagnose issues.
What are my rights over my data?+
You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data by emailing support@corpsorp.com. See the Privacy Policy for details.

This FAQ summarises the platform for end users. For legal details see thePrivacy Policy,Terms of Service andCookie Policy.
